Archieve Policy

HEXAGON: Jurnal Ilmu dan Pendidikan Matematika is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and availability of its published scholarly content. The journal implements digital preservation mechanisms to safeguard the scholarly record against data loss, technological failure, or discontinuation of the journal platform.

LOCKSS and CLOCKSS Preservation

HEXAGON utilizes the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS) systems as part of its digital preservation strategy. These systems provide distributed preservation mechanisms that maintain copies of scholarly content across participating archival networks.

The use of distributed preservation helps protect the journal's published content against accidental loss, technological disruption, or long-term unavailability of the original publishing platform. Through these mechanisms, preserved content can remain part of the scholarly record and, where applicable, be restored or made accessible when the original source is no longer available.

Preservation of Published Content

The journal preserves its published articles and associated bibliographic information as part of its commitment to maintaining the integrity and continuity of the scholarly record. Digital preservation complements the journal's open-access publishing practices by supporting continued access to published research over time.

Persistent Identification

Articles published in HEXAGON are assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) as a persistent identifier. The DOI supports reliable identification, citation, linking, and long-term discovery of individual articles, while the journal's digital preservation systems support the continued preservation of the published content itself.

Commitment to Long-Term Access

Through the combination of LOCKSS, CLOCKSS, persistent identifiers, and the Universitas Terbuka electronic journal platform, HEXAGON is committed to maintaining the long-term accessibility, discoverability, and preservation of its scholarly content.
