Jurnal Matematika Sains dan Teknologi (JMST)

Jurnal Matematika Sains dan Teknologi (JMST) allows the responsible use of generative AI and AI-assisted tools for limited purposes, such as language editing, grammar checking, readability improvement, or technical assistance. However, authors must ensure that the use of such tools does not replace their own intellectual contribution, analysis, interpretation, or scholarly judgment.

Generative AI tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors. Authorship requires accountability, responsibility, approval of the final manuscript, and the ability to respond to questions regarding the integrity of the work.

Authors are fully responsible for all content submitted to JMST, including any AI-assisted text, data, analysis, references, tables, figures, or interpretations. Authors must verify the accuracy, originality, and validity of all AI-assisted content before submission.

Any use of generative AI or AI-assisted tools must be disclosed in a separate statement entitled Declaration of Generative AI and AI-Assisted Technologies before the references section. The statement should specify the tool used, the purpose of use, and the extent of use.

Generative AI must not be used to fabricate data, create false references, manipulate results, generate misleading content, or conceal plagiarism. Misuse of AI tools may be considered research misconduct.

Reviewers and editors must maintain confidentiality and must not upload unpublished manuscripts, review reports, or editorial materials to generative AI tools or external AI platforms.

JMST reserves the right to request clarification regarding the use of AI tools. Failure to disclose AI use or misuse of AI-assisted technologies may affect editorial decisions and may be handled according to the journal’s publication ethics policy.
