Author Guidelines
General Guidelines
Authors are required to submit their manuscripts electronically using the online submission procedure of Archivist : Indonesian Journal of Archival. The Editors will ignore submissions that do not follow these procedures.
All manuscripts must be submitted to the Archivist : Indonesian Journal of Archival Editorial Office via Online Submission on the E-Journal portal at the following address: JURNAL ARCHIVIST, where authors must register as Authors online. If authors encounter any issues with the online submission, please contact the Editorial Office at the following email: archivist@ecampus.ut.ac.id.

Review and Revision
Each submitted paper will be independently reviewed by at least two peer reviewers. The decision to publish, revise, or reject is based on their reports/recommendations. If two or more reviewers consider a manuscript unsuitable for publication in this journal, a statement explaining the basis for the decision will be sent to the authors within three months of the submission date.
Manuscripts returned to the authors for revision should be sent back to the editor without delay. Revised manuscripts can be resubmitted to the editorial office through the Online Submission Interface at JURNAL ARCHIVIST. Manuscripts revised and returned later than three months will be considered as new submissions.
Submission Flow
Authors must first register as Authors at the following address: REGISTER HERE.
Authors should fill out the form as clearly as possible, ensuring that all mandatory fields are completed. After filling out all the text boxes in the form, the Author should click the "Register" button to proceed with the registration. The Author will then be directed to the online submission interface, where they should click "New Submission." In the "Start a New Submission" section, click "'Click Here': to proceed to step one of the five-step submission process." The five steps in the online submission process are as follows:
Step 1 - Starting the Submission: Select the appropriate section of the journal, such as Original Research Articles, Review Articles, or Short Communication. The author should also check the submission checklists.
Step 2 – Uploading the Submission: To upload a manuscript to this journal, click Browse on the Upload submission file item and select the manuscript document file to be submitted, then click the Upload button.
Step 3 – Entering Submission’s Metadata: In this step, detailed author metadata should be entered, including the corresponding author. Then, the manuscript title and abstract must be uploaded by copying and pasting the text into the text box, including keywords.
Step 4 – Uploading Supplementary Files: Supplementary files should be uploaded, including the Cover/Submission Letter and the Signed Copyright Transfer Agreement Form. Therefore, click the Browse button, select the files, and then click the Upload button.
Step 5 – Confirming the Submission: Authors should conduct a final check of the uploaded manuscript documents at this step. To submit the manuscript to Infinity, click the Finish Submission button after ensuring the documents are correct. The corresponding author or primary contact will receive an acknowledgment by email and will be able to view the submission's progress through the editorial process by logging in to the journal's web address.
After submission, Authors will receive a confirmation email regarding their submission. Authors can track the status of their submission at any time by logging into the online submission interface. The submission tracking includes the status of the manuscript review and editorial process.
Manuscript Structure
Title: The title should be clear and informative, not exceeding 15 words.
Author Names and Institutions: The authors' names should be accompanied by their institutions and email addresses, without academic titles. For a joint paper, one of the authors should be designated as the corresponding author.
Abstract and Keywords: The abstract should consist of 150-250 words. Please provide the abstract in both English and Indonesian. Keywords should consist of 3 to 5 words or phrases.
Introduction: The introduction should cover the background of the problem, research objectives, theoretical framework, previous literature reviews, and the novelty of the research.
Research Methods: This section should explain the type and method of research, data and data sources, data collection methods, and data analysis.
Results and Discussion: This section presents the research findings. The results may be supplemented with tables, graphs (images), and/or charts. The discussion section presents the analysis results, description of findings, and discussion of the results with relevant research.
Conclusion: The conclusion provides a brief summary of the research findings and discussion. It should be presented in a single paragraph.
Acknowledgments (if any).
References: The references section should include all relevant publications cited in the manuscript. Authors must ensure the accuracy of all cited references, as archivist Journal will not be responsible for any incorrect in-text citations. It is recommended that the manuscript and citations follow the APA style. The use of Mendeley Reference Management is recommended. The minimum number of references is 15, with publications from the last 10 years.
