Peer Review Process

Diftong is dedicated to maintaining peer-review integrity and high review standards. After your paper is deemed suitable by the editor, it will undergo a single-blind peer review by independent, anonymous experts.

Step 1: Editorial Assessment The peer review process starts with submitting your article to a journal. Initially, the journal editor evaluates its suitability by considering questions like:
• Has the author adhered to the journal’s guidelines?
• Is this article appropriate for the journal?
• Will the journal’s audience find it interesting and useful?
The editor may reject the article at this stage, but if not, it proceeds to peer review.

Step 2: First Round of Peer Review The editor will identify and contact potential referees, who are experts in your field. These referees will review your article and advise the editor on whether it should be published.

Step 3: Revise and Resubmit Based on the reviewers’ feedback, you can revise your article and resubmit it. You might be asked to make additional revisions, or the paper could be rejected if the editor finds the revisions insufficient.
