Pentingnya Inklusi Keuangan: Peran Lembaga Pendidikan Tinggi Sebagai Fasilitator

The objective of this initiative is to underscore the importance of financial inclusion particularly access to formal financial services and to demonstrate how such access can enhance local economic outcomes. Active involvement by higher-education institutions is expected to catalyse broader financial-service outreach by banks and regulatory bodies, thereby extending inclusive finance to a wider segment of society. Grounded in the Resource-Based View, the programme treats communities’ tangible and intangible resources as strategic assets that, when managed optimally, can yield competitive advantages at the grassroots level. Methodologically, the project adopts a Participatory Action Research (PAR) design that engages all relevant stakeholders as co-researchers, enabling community members to analyse, plan, and implement actions collectively rather than being studied externally by an academic team. Implementation combined structured socialisation sessions, seminar-style workshops, and peer-to-peer experience-sharing led by local entrepreneurs who already practise sound financial management. Preliminary outcomes indicate that this integrated model effectively improves participants’ financial literacy and confidence, laying a sustainable foundation for individual economic resilience and broader community welfare.
