El-Qish: Journal of Islamic Economics is an academic journal published by LPPM Universitas Terbuka, twice a year (June and December) with registered number EISSN 2809-3232. Managed by Faculty of Economics Universitas Terbuka. The editors receive articles in the form of research-based manuscripts related to Islamic Economics which cover Islamic economics, Economics development, Macroeconomics, Monetery, Microeconomics, Islamic finance, Islamic Business, Islamic Human Resource Management, Islamic Marketing Management, Halal industries, Zakat and Wakaf, and Islamic Entrepreneurship.
Current Issue
This issue presents a collection of contemporary discussions in Islamic economics and finance, addressing a wide range of pressing socio-economic challenges and policy innovations. The articles explore diverse themes, including comparative public finance and social policy between OIC and Scandinavian countries, the integration of zakat and taxation through fintech platforms to strengthen Islamic fiscal compliance, sharia-compliant housing finance practices in emerging Muslim markets, and the digital transformation of productive waqf to enhance agricultural resilience and economic sustainability. Together, these studies reflect the growing relevance of Islamic financial instruments in responding to modern economic challenges, particularly in promoting social justice, financial inclusion, and sustainable development. Featuring contributions from scholars affiliated with institutions in Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and Saudi Arabia, this issue offers diverse international perspectives on advancing Islamic socio-economic development.
