Jurnal Organisasi dan Manajemen (JOM) was founded in 2005 by Center for Research and Community Service (LPPM) Universitas Terbuka (UT). This journal is a medium for the publication of lecturers at the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Universitas Terbuka. The online database just started in 2006, so that what is on the website is the journal volume 2 No. 1 of 2006.

JOM obtained accreditation rank 3 based on the Director-General of Research and Development, Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number 21 / E / KPT / 2018 dated July 9, 2018, regarding the Results of Accreditation of Scientific Journals Period I of 2018. JOM has E-ISSN: 2442-9155 and P-ISSN 2085-9686.

Since its establishment in 2005, JOM used Indonesian, but starting from Volume 15 No. 1 of 2019, JOM has become a journal that uses English for its publication. This year JOM also changed the design and writing format. This decision was taken so that JOM could be accepted internationally. Currently, JOM continues to improve its quality and build networks with other journals in various countries to add articles from other countries. JOM also collaborates with an association, namely the Indonesian Management Forum (FMI).
