Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Articles can be submitted in English or Indonesian. Manuscripts submitted that do not match the AgriDev journal template will be returned to the author for correction. The articles should be an original research findings that are in accordance with the focus and scope of the Journal and has novelty. AgriDev Journal does not accept articles that have been published or submitted to other journals. If the submitted article consists of several authors, all co-authors will be notified. Every article that is sent will be given a specific number for correspondence purposes. Articles that have been reviewed will be sent to the author with comments and a publication decision through the OJS system. Authors must also ensure that the articles have a similarity score of less than 20% based on Turnitin apps. If it is discovered in the future that the article has been published in another journal, the article will be withdrawn and the author will be blacklisted. If the article is published in Indonesian, the title and abstract should be written in two languages: Indonesian and English.

Articles to be published in the AgriDev Journal follow the writing requirements with the following main structure.

Title (Indonesian-English)

The title must be short, specific, and informative, written in Indonesian and English with a maximum of 15 words. The title is written in capital letters at the top center of the paragraph, Times New Roman font, bold, size 14 pt. Under the title, write the name of the author without a title (12 pt size) and affiliated institution (12 pt size), and be numbered if there is more than one affiliated institution. Correspondence authors are starred and provided with an e-mail address. The correspondent author is the person in charge of the article.

Abstract (Indonesian-English)

This template is intended to assist you in formatting your manuscript. All components of your article—title, abstract, keywords, subheadings, and body text—have been adapted to align with the house style of AgriDev Journal. The abstract should be written in Indonesian and English, using Times New Roman font, 11 pt, italicized, and must not exceed 250 words. The abstract must be concise and precise. It should begin by explaining the importance of the research, the problem being addressed, and the hypothesis or research question. This should be followed by a brief description of the research methods used, data sources, instruments, and types of information collected, and then by the results/findings and the conclusions drawn. The abstract must be comprehensive, without including statistical formulas or references. (Times New Roman, 11 pt).

INTRODUCTION

This section provides an overview of the background, including a description of the problem that serves as the study's focus, as well as a discussion of the issue in relation to various relevant concepts and theories. It may include one or two relevant research findings, followed by an explanation of how the author's research differs from previous studies. Next, state the formulation/objective of the article. The introduction should also present a review of relevant theories, the conceptual or theoretical framework, and previous research to support the theoretical framework used. Use headings and subheadings to organize the content, and paragraphs consisting of several sentences that support a specific topic sentence. References should be cited by the author's name and year. METHODS

The author should include references that support the chosen research method. Next, describe the methods, models, and techniques used for data collection. Explain the research respondents or informants, including relevant characteristics such as location/region, gender, age, education level, and other aspects relevant to the research objectives. Describe the criteria used to select the sample, and if the study involves an experiment, include the treatment or intervention applied. Explain the instruments used, which may include questionnaires, tests, interviews, or observations. Elaborate on the aspects or factors measured by each instrument, and provide examples of the questions or items used. Describe the data collection procedures, the time frame used, any difficulties encountered in the field and their solutions, as well as other necessary details that may influence the validity and quality of the data. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

The results and discussion mat be presented in the same or separate subsections as needed. The discussion should be clearly and concisely narrated, focusing on the research findings supported by adequate data. The research findings should provide justification or answers to the research questions. Present the results using tables and figures with clear labels and sequential numbering. Statistical analysis results should be reported along with a more interpretative explanation, rather than merely restating the numerical data shown in the tables or graphs. Use headings and subheadings to report the results and present the discussion. Organize the findings based on the tables and figures logically, and then provide explanations and analysis for each table. For qualitative research, findings should be presented according to themes that emerge from the data analysis.
