Publication Process
1. Submission of Manuscripts
-
Authors must submit their manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system. Submissions must adhere to the journal’s formatting and style guidelines, as specified in the “Instructions for Authors.”
- Upon submission, authors will receive an acknowledgment confirming receipt of the manuscript.
2. Initial Editorial Review
-
The Editorial Team conducts an initial review to ensure that the manuscript aligns with the journal's scope and adheres to submission guidelines.
- Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected at this stage or returned to the authors for modification before further consideration.
3. Peer Review Process
-
Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial review will enter the double-blind peer review process, as outlined in the journal’s Peer Review Process Policy.
-
This stage involves thorough evaluation by at least two independent experts in the field. Reviewers assess the manuscript's originality, rigor, relevance, and contribution to the field of physics education.
4. Revision and Resubmission
-
If the peer reviewers suggest revisions, the manuscript will be returned to the authors with detailed feedback. Authors are required to revise their manuscripts accordingly and resubmit within the specified timeframe.
-
Authors must also provide a detailed response to each reviewer’s comments, outlining how the manuscript has been revised to address the feedback.
5. Final Editorial Decision
-
The Editor-in-Chief, in consultation with the Editorial Board, will make the final decision based on the reviewers' recommendations and the quality of the revised manuscript.
- Possible outcomes include:
- Acceptance for publication
- Acceptance with further minor revisions
- Rejection
-
Authors will be informed of the decision via email, along with any additional feedback or instructions for final revisions.
6. Copyediting and Proofreading
-
Once a manuscript is accepted for publication, it will undergo copyediting to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to the journal’s style guide. The copyediting process may involve corrections to grammar, punctuation, and formatting, as well as ensuring that references are correctly cited.
-
After copyediting, the manuscript will be sent to the authors for final proofreading. Authors are responsible for reviewing the proofs to catch any errors and to approve the final version of the manuscript.
7. Production and Publication
-
Following the final approval of the manuscript, it will be scheduled for publication in the next available issue of the journal.
-
The article will be formatted according to the journal’s publication style, including the addition of a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) for online tracking and citation.
-
Once formatted, the article will be published on the journal’s website, making it accessible to the global academic community.
8. Open Access Policy
-
Celsius is an open-access journal, meaning that all published articles are freely accessible to readers worldwide without subscription or paywall barriers.
-
Authors may be required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) to cover the costs associated with the publication process. The journal will provide information on any applicable fees during the submission process.
9. Post-Publication
-
After publication, authors are encouraged to share and promote their work through academic networks, social media, and other platforms to enhance the visibility and impact of their research.
-
The journal may also engage in post-publication promotion by highlighting articles through newsletters, press releases, and social media channels.
