Abstrak

Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) play a very important role in the Indonesian economy, especially in creating jobs and contributing to the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP). This study aims to determine the interpersonal communication strategies used by micro-entrepreneurs at the Ministry of Public Works' Layang Canteen in attracting customers. Interpersonal communication involving face-to-face interaction between individuals plays an important role in building relationships and influencing purchasing decisions. Although the products sold are similar between stalls, there are significant differences in the number of customer visits influenced by the attitude and communication of the stall keepers. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach to identify the interpersonal communication strategies implemented by MSMEs at the Ministry of Public Works. Interviews were conducted with two business actors and one person. The results of the study indicate that effective communication strategies applied by MSMEs are personal approaches, active listening, building trust and positive nonverbal communication. This study contributes to the development of communication strategies for micro-entrepreneurs, as well as being a reference for further research in the field of interpersonal communication.
