About the Journal

JOINT: Journal of Inspirational English Language Teaching is a journal managed by the English Language Education Study Program, Faculty of Education and Teacher Training, Universitas Terbuka under the publisher Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat (LPPM) Universitas Terbuka. 

Aim and Scope:

  • English Teaching and Learning: Research and practices that enhance the effectiveness of English language instruction, with a particular focus on distance learning and blended education models.

  • English Teaching Methodology: Innovative teaching strategies, pedagogical approaches, and instructional techniques, especially those tailored to remote and online learning environments.

  • Language Curriculum Development: Studies and analyses related to the design, implementation, and evaluation of English language curricula, with an emphasis on curricula suitable for distance education.

  • ICT in Language Teaching: The integration of information and communication technologies in English language instruction, including the use of digital tools, online platforms, and multimedia resources, which are crucial in distance learning contexts.

  • Linguistics and Teaching: The application of linguistic theories and principles to the teaching of English as a second or foreign language, including the unique considerations of teaching in a distance learning environment.

  • Literature and Teaching: The role of literature in English language education, including the use of literary texts to develop language skills and cultural understanding, adapted for both traditional and distance education contexts.

JOINT publishes articles biannually, ensuring that the content remains relevant and up-to-date with the latest trends and research in the field. The journal is committed to open access, making all published articles freely available online to a global audience, aligning with our belief that knowledge should be accessible to all, regardless of geographical or financial barriers.
