AIMS AND SCOPE

SIMBION: Journal of Science Biology and Online Learning is an international journal dedicated to bridging the gap between research and practice in biology and online learning. The journal provides a platform for the dissemination of innovative ideas, insights, and critical analyses related to the advancements in biology research, teaching, and online education. By highlighting policy and curriculum developments, SIMBION brings forward the latest research results in the teaching, learning, and assessment of biology, with a particular focus on online environments.

SIMBION welcomes submissions in the form of research articles and reviews in the fields of biology education and the integration of biological research into teaching and online learning practices. Each submission should align with the themes of "4.0 skills in biology education" and/or "Contributions to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through biology education and/or “distance learning in biology course."

All articles published in SIMBION are in Indonesian and undergo a rigorous peer-review process.

The scope of SIMBION focuses on research and reviews in biology education and online learning, encompassing a wide range of topics and disciplinary perspectives:

The inclusion of "Online Learning" in the journal's title emphasizes the journal's commitment to exploring the intersections of biology education and digital learning platforms, addressing global and local challenges in these fields. SIMBION accepts submissions from authors worldwide, with the expectation that articles will contribute to addressing educational challenges in Indonesia or have broader international implications.
