AUTHOR GUIDELINES

BEFORE YOU BEGIN Please carefully read the Author Guidelines to ensure that your manuscript adheres to all specified requirements before submission. Only manuscripts that fully comply with these guidelines and include all necessary components will proceed to the peer review stage. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria will be returned to the authors for revision. Ensuring full compliance with these guidelines will help expedite the review process and allow us to provide a prompt decision on your submission.

Article Processing Charges

The fee structure for processing articles in this journal is as follows:

  • Article Submission: Free
  • Review Process: Free
  • Article Publication: Free

Types of Contributions

We accept Original Research and Review Articles.

Authorship of the Paper

Authorship should be confined to those who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the study. All individuals who have made substantial contributions should be listed as co-authors. Contributors who participated in specific aspects of the research should be acknowledged separately. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors are appropriately included, have approved the final version of the paper, and have agreed to its submission for publication.

Originality and Plagiarism

All submitted manuscripts must be original works that have not been previously published. Authors must cite all sources appropriately and seek written permission for the use of other authors' ideas where necessary. Plagiarism in any form is considered unethical and unacceptable. Before submission, authors should check their work for plagiarism using reliable software. The Editorial Board reserves the right to verify manuscripts for plagiarism and take appropriate action if any is detected.

Changes in Authorship

Changes to authorship, such as the addition, deletion, or rearrangement of author names, are not permitted after a manuscript has been accepted and published online. If a change is necessary, the corresponding author must provide:

  1. The reason for the change.
  2. A written agreement (scanned and emailed) from all authors confirming the addition or removal of the individual in question.

The editor will contact the affected author(s) for their consent. Requests not made by the corresponding author will not be considered.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that might influence the research. If the study received financial support, this must be disclosed in the submission. Transparency regarding conflicts of interest is crucial to maintaining the integrity of the research.

Fundamental Errors in Published Work

If an author identifies a significant error in their published work, they must immediately notify the journal's editors or publishers. The author must cooperate with the editorial board to correct or retract the paper as necessary.

Copyright

Submitting a manuscript to SIMBION indicates that the work is original, has not been published before, and is not under consideration elsewhere. Authors agree to transfer copyright to the journal upon acceptance, which allows the journal to publish the work both in print and online. The work may not be published elsewhere in the same form without the publisher's consent. The journal allows readers to freely access, download, copy, distribute, print, and use the articles for lawful purposes, following the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).

Language

Manuscripts must be written in clear, precise English (either American or British usage, but not a mixture). Authors are encouraged to use language editing services if needed to improve the grammar, spelling, and overall readability of their manuscripts. Manuscripts with grammatical errors may be returned to the authors for correction before being considered for review.

Reviewing of Manuscripts

Each submitted manuscript will undergo an independent peer review by at least two reviewers. The decision to accept, revise, or reject a manuscript will be based on the reviewers' recommendations and will be communicated by the Editor. If two or more reviewers deem the manuscript unsuitable for publication, the decision will be accompanied by a detailed explanation.

Revision of Manuscripts

Authors should return revised manuscripts promptly. Revised manuscripts submitted more than three months after being returned to the authors will be treated as new submissions.

NEW SUBMISSIONS

Manuscripts must be submitted online through our submission system. The process is entirely online, with step-by-step guidance provided for creating and uploading your files. This method reduces processing times and speeds up the submission-to-publication timeline.

Authors must use the SIMBION template to prepare their articles. Manuscripts written in English will be reviewed by the editorial board members with relevant expertise.

Formatting Requirements

Authors must format their manuscripts according to the SIMBION template. Manuscripts should be typed in Arial font, single column, on A4-sized paper. If your article includes videos or other supplementary materials, these should be included in your initial submission.

Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

The manuscript should include the following sections:

  • Title: A concise, informative title that accurately reflects the content of the article (12-14 words).
  • Author Information: Full names of all authors, along with their complete affiliations, email addresses, and contact numbers.
  • Abstract: A 200-word summary of the research problem, methods, results, and conclusions, followed by 3-5 keywords.
  • Introduction: A brief overview of the research problem, the gap in existing studies, and the research objectives.
  • Methods: A detailed description of the research design, population, sampling techniques, data collection methods, and analysis techniques.
  • Results and Discussion: Presentation and interpretation of the research findings, supported by tables and figures where necessary.
  • Conclusion: A summary of the main findings, their implications, and suggestions for future research.
  • Acknowledgments: A brief mention of any individuals or organizations that supported the research.
  • References: A complete list of references formatted according to APA 7th edition, organized alphabetically.

Conflict of Interest

A conflict of interest exists when an author's financial or personal interests could compromise their objectivity in conducting research or interpreting data. Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest when submitting their manuscripts.
