PEER REVIEW PROCESS
SIMBION: Journal of Science Biology and Online Learning employs an online submission and review system to manage all aspects of article submission and peer review, following the journal's Peer Review Policy.
The Editorial Board of SIMBION is responsible for selecting the manuscripts to be reviewed and for choosing the appropriate reviewers. Each submitted article typically undergoes evaluation by at least two independent reviewers. The journal follows a double-blind review process, where both the authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other to ensure impartiality.
The review process assesses several key aspects of the manuscript, including its originality, objectivity, methodology, scientific impact, conclusions, and references. Based on the reviewers' critical feedback, the Editorial Board makes the final decision regarding the manuscript's acceptance.
Once the final decision is made, the Section Editor will communicate the outcome to the corresponding author, reflecting the reviewers' recommendations. Throughout this process, the SIMBION Editorial Board maintains the confidentiality of all submitted materials and communications with reviewers.

Review Outcomes
Based on the feedback from the peer review process, the Editor will make a final publication decision. The review process typically takes between 4 to 12 weeks, and the possible outcomes include:
- Reject: The manuscript is not suitable for publication, and no resubmission will be allowed.
- Resubmit for Review: The manuscript requires significant revisions and, after reworking, may be reconsidered for publication. A second round of review will be necessary.
- Accept with Revisions: The manuscript is accepted pending minor or major revisions. The revised manuscript will be reviewed by an editor to ensure all necessary changes are made before publication.
- Accept: The manuscript is accepted as it is, with no further modifications required, and will be published in its current form.
