Manuscripts must adhere to the Author Guidelines. Submissions that do not meet all requirements, are incorrectly formatted, or cannot be reliably downloaded may be returned without scientific assessment.

Submissions must be original and independent works. Each new manuscript is evaluated by the Principal Editor using the Manuscript Readiness Level (MRL) to determine alignment with the scope of Jurnal Pendidikan. Manuscripts may be rejected without review if they lack sufficient content, exceed the word limit, are incorrectly formatted, or are unclearly presented. Manuscripts passing the initial assessment are assigned to the Principal Editor or an Associate Editor, who will oversee the review process for contribution, originality, relevance, and presentation.

After passing initial checks, manuscripts are assigned to at least two independent experts for peer review. The double-blind review process is used. Peer review comments remain confidential and are disclosed only with the reviewer's explicit consent. Authors can expect a decision or an explanation for any delay within two months of submission. If a revision is requested, the corresponding author must submit the revised manuscript within two weeks. The Principal Editors make the final decision based on the peer-review process.

Reviewed manuscripts are treated confidentially prior to publication, in accordance with publication ethics.

 

Four types of editorial decisions are made during the peer review process:

Decline submission, Resubmit for review, Revision, Accept submission

 

Decline submission
If, after peer review, the paper is deemed unsuitable for publication in Jurnal Pendidikan, resubmission is not permitted.

 

Resubmit for Review
If the submitted version is not acceptable and requires major revision, but the work demonstrates clear potential, Jurnal Pendidikan may invite resubmission as a new submission. The suitability of the paper for publication remains under consideration until the editors are satisfied that it meets the journal's scope and standards. 

 

Revision
If revisions are required, authors must address comments from referees and editors and submit a revised manuscript within two weeks of receiving the decision letter. A point-by-point explanation of how each comment has been addressed must accompany the revised submission. Revisions may be subject to further peer review, and multiple rounds of revision may occur. Failure to meet editorial standards may result in rejection.

 

Accept submission
Acceptance for publication is conditional upon addressing any required changes in the final version of the manuscript. These may include sub-editing and minor amendments to ensure full compliance with journal criteria. After final editorial checks, acceptance is confirmed, and the paper is forwarded to the publisher.

 

Page proofs are sent to the corresponding author for final review. Corrections should be limited to printer’s errors; other changes to text, equations, or grammar may incur charges. Proofs must be returned within three days to avoid delays in publication. Editors do not assume responsibility for the accuracy of published content; authors are responsible for verifying content at the proof stage.
