Call for Papers: HEXAGON: Jurnal Ilmu dan Pendidikan Matematika

HEXAGON: Jurnal Ilmu dan Pendidikan Matematika invites researchers, academics, educators, and practitioners to submit original and high-quality manuscripts for its upcoming issues. Published biannually in April and October, HEXAGON welcomes scholarly contributions in the fields of mathematics education, mathematics, and applied mathematics. The journal provides a platform for disseminating research that contributes to the advancement of mathematical knowledge, educational practices, and the application of mathematics in diverse contexts.

Areas of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Mathematics teaching and learning
  • Mathematical thinking, reasoning, problem solving, literacy, numeracy, communication, and representation
  • Learning difficulties, misconceptions, and conceptual understanding in mathematics
  • Technology and innovation in mathematics education
  • Assessment and evaluation in mathematics education
  • Affective and psychological aspects of mathematics learning
  • Mathematics teacher education and professional development
  • Ethnomathematics, equity, and inclusive mathematics education
  • STEM/STEAM education, computational thinking, and mathematical modelling
  • Applied mathematics, including statistics, numerical methods, optimization, mathematical modelling, and computational approaches

HEXAGON welcomes original research articles, systematic and critical reviews, theoretical and conceptual studies, development studies, and other scholarly works relevant to the journal's focus and scope. We encourage manuscripts employing quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, design-based research, development research, mathematical modelling, computational approaches, and other rigorous methodologies appropriate to the research problem.

All submitted manuscripts undergo initial editorial screening, similarity checking, and a double-blind peer-review process. Authors are encouraged to carefully review the journal's Focus and Scope and Author Guidelines and to prepare their manuscripts using the official HEXAGON article template before submission.

We warmly invite scholars and practitioners to share their valuable research and scholarly contributions with HEXAGON: Jurnal Ilmu dan Pendidikan Matematika. Manuscripts can be submitted throughout the year through the journal's online submission system.
