Advertising Policy
The International Journal of Research in STEM Education (IJRSE) maintains a clear separation between advertising, sponsorship, and editorial decision-making. Any advertising or promotional material appearing on the journal's platform must not compromise the journal's editorial independence, scholarly integrity, or publication ethics.
1. Editorial Independence
Advertising, sponsorship, or other commercial considerations have no influence on editorial decisions at IJRSE.
Decisions concerning manuscript submission, peer review, acceptance, rejection, editorial content, and publication are based solely on scholarly merit, relevance to the journal's aims and scope, methodological and academic quality, and compliance with the journal's editorial and ethical standards.
Advertisers, sponsors, institutional partners, and other external organizations are not permitted to influence the peer review process or editorial decisions.
2. Separation of Advertising and Editorial Content
Any advertisement accepted for publication or display must be clearly distinguishable from editorial and scholarly content.
Advertising material must not be presented in a manner that could reasonably be interpreted as an endorsement, recommendation, or scholarly evaluation by IJRSE, its editors, Editorial Board, reviewers, publisher, or affiliated institution.
The placement of advertising will not be determined by or linked to specific editorial decisions, manuscripts, authors, or peer review outcomes.
3. Acceptance of Advertising
IJRSE reserves the right to accept, decline, withdraw, or discontinue any advertisement or promotional material at its discretion.
Advertising may be declined when its content:
-
conflicts with the academic mission, aims, or values of the journal;
-
is misleading, deceptive, discriminatory, or inappropriate;
-
makes unsupported academic, educational, scientific, or commercial claims;
-
may compromise research integrity or publication ethics;
-
creates an actual or perceived conflict of interest with editorial activities; or
-
could adversely affect the scholarly credibility or independence of the journal.
Acceptance of an advertisement does not constitute endorsement by IJRSE of the advertised product, service, organization, event, or claim.
4. Academic and Institutional Announcements
IJRSE may provide space for appropriate academic and professional announcements, including information concerning scholarly conferences, academic programmes, research activities, publications, educational initiatives, and other activities relevant to STEM education.
Such announcements remain separate from the journal's editorial and peer review processes. Institutional collaboration, sponsorship, or advertising does not provide preferential treatment to manuscripts submitted by individuals associated with the relevant organization.
5. Conflicts of Interest
Advertising or sponsorship arrangements must not create inappropriate influence or conflicts of interest in the journal's editorial activities.
Editors and other individuals involved in editorial decision-making are expected to disclose relevant conflicts of interest and to maintain the independence and impartiality of the journal's scholarly evaluation process.
6. User Privacy and Advertising Data
IJRSE does not permit advertising arrangements to compromise the privacy or confidentiality of authors, reviewers, editors, or readers.
Personal information collected through the journal's submission and publishing system will not be provided to advertisers for unrelated marketing purposes. The handling of personal information is governed by the journal's Privacy Statement.
7. Complaints Concerning Advertising
Concerns or complaints regarding advertising or promotional material appearing on the IJRSE platform may be submitted to the journal's editorial office.
Complaints will be reviewed independently of manuscript evaluation and peer review. Where an advertisement is found to be inconsistent with this policy or with the journal's scholarly and ethical standards, IJRSE reserves the right to modify or remove the material.
8. Policy Commitment
IJRSE is committed to ensuring that any advertising, sponsorship, or promotional activities are conducted in a manner consistent with editorial independence, transparency, scholarly integrity, and responsible academic publishing.
Commercial or institutional relationships will not influence the journal's editorial content, peer review process, or publication decisions.
