STEM Education Research
IJRSE publishes research that advances knowledge, theory, and practice in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education, with an emphasis on scholarly contribution and international relevance. The journal welcomes empirical and scholarly contributions addressing STEM disciplines individually, across disciplines, or through integrated STEM approaches in diverse educational contexts. Multidisciplinary perspectives are welcomed where they provide meaningful contributions to understanding and advancing STEM education.
Teaching, Learning, and Professional Development
The journal welcomes research on teaching, learning, curriculum, assessment, and professional development across STEM education. Areas of interest include innovative pedagogies, curriculum design and implementation, student engagement and motivation, learning outcomes, teacher preparation, professional development, and the advancement of teaching competencies in disciplinary and integrated STEM contexts.
Particular attention is given to the evolving role of emerging technologies and their educational applications in STEM education, including artificial intelligence (AI), learning analytics, adaptive and personalised learning, virtual and simulated learning environments, and other technology-enhanced approaches. The journal encourages research examining how these developments can enhance teaching and learning, curriculum innovation, assessment, teacher professional learning, and the development of future-oriented STEM competencies.
Research, Innovation, Policy, and Practice
IJRSE welcomes research that connects scholarly evidence, educational innovation, policy, and practice in STEM education. This includes studies addressing emerging educational challenges, equity and inclusion, educational quality, institutional transformation, and the implementation and scaling of STEM education across diverse institutional, cultural, and educational contexts.
The journal particularly values research that moves beyond reporting context-specific findings by demonstrating scholarly contribution, broader relevance, and implications for the advancement of STEM education internationally.
