Digital Archive Policy

Provider Archive

IJDMDE maintains a local state-of-the-art facility to store a complete and accurate digital version of all published papers. The current format standards are XML and PDF, with most files being retained in both formats to ensure compatibility and accessibility.

Website Archiving

All of IJDMDE's electronic content — including the website, manuscripts, and related materials — is stored across three separate sources. Content on one server remains online and accessible to readers at all times. An identical copy of the same content is maintained as a backup on two additional sources. In the event of a server failure, either of the backup sources can be brought online, and the website is expected to be fully accessible within 24–36 hours.

Self-Archiving

IJDMDE supports self-archiving (Google Drive). IJDMDE permits and encourages authors to make their research visible and accessible to peers by uploading the final published version of their articles to personal or institutional repositories immediately after publication, while providing complete bibliographic details that credit its publication in the journal.

Digital Preservation

IJDMDE participates in both the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS) digital preservation networks, enabling participating libraries worldwide to maintain distributed, permanent archives of journal content for preservation and restoration purposes. All content archived through these networks is stored exclusively with the explicit authorization of the publisher, granted through formal written agreements or verified online permission statements. IJDMDE works closely with LOCKSS network implementers to develop governance frameworks and legal terms tailored to the nature of the content, applicable jurisdictions, and relevant rights and access provisions.

Indexing

IJDMDE's abstracting and indexing services store essential bibliographic information about all published articles. Select indexing services archive not only the metadata but also the full electronic versions of articles, making them available to the scientific community through their own platforms as an additional access point alongside the journal's own website.

All published articles are assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) by CrossRef. IJDMDE deposits publications in multiple digital archives around the world to guarantee long-term digital preservation. All published articles are indexed in Google Scholar, GARUDA, DOAJ and Dimensions.

All articles are permanently archived and available in XML and PDF formats. IJDMDE makes article metadata available in compliance with Open Archives Initiative (OAI) protocols, enabling automated harvesting of research articles for inclusion in other digital archives. IJDMDE supports non-exclusive digital archiving of research articles by as many international archives as possible, to ensure the security and permanent accessibility of published research.
